Position Description
Clinical Research Project Assistant
The Barwick Implementation Lab, part of the Child Health and Evaluative Sciences program at the Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute in Toronto, is seeking a Clinical Research Project Assistant (CRPA) (0.4 FTE).
The Clinical Research Project Assistant will work closely with the research team to assist in a CIHR-funded project examining organizational functions that enable practice change in Ontario’s community-based child and youth mental health organizations. This position utilizes skills in project administration, survey and stakeholder dialogue methods and is part of a research program in implementation science.
Here’s What You’ll Get to Do:
· Manage research ethics renewals
· Prepare REDCap survey
· Interact with project investigators and CYMH partner organizations
· Analyze survey data
· Prepare and manage logistics for a stakeholder dialogue
· Analyze minutes from the stakeholder dialogue
· Support the preparation of the final manuscript for peer review (authorship included)
Here’s What You’ll Need:
· Experience in utilizing computer software, such as Microsoft Office, EndNote, and REDCap
· Post-secondary degree in sciences, social sciences or a health-related discipline
· Previous research experience in survey methods and stakeholder engagement
· Previous research experience in stakeholder engagement
· Knowledge/coursework/experience with implementation science
· Knowledge of child and youth mental health systems and service
· Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
· Ability to function independently yet collaboratively within a team
· Effective communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
· Experience in planning, preparing, and editing scientific abstracts and manuscripts is an asset
· A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity and inclusion objectives
Start date: March 3rd, 2025
End date: May 31st, 2026, with the possibility of an extension.
Employment Type: 14 month contract, 0.4 FTE
